Ages 8 (serious students) to adult may attend with individual goals and objectives.

Acrylics, Oil Painting, Watercolor, Collage
with Nina Louton or
Drawing Classes, Colored Pencil, or Yupo Watercolor (portraits, landscapes)
with Johnce Parrish.

Mondays: 1:00-3:00pm and 4-6 pm. Tuesday: 1:00-3:00pm and 4-6 pm Fridays 10:00-12:00am and 1:00-3:00pm. $30 per day (10 % off for Fine Arts Center members, 10% off prepaid 6 weeks). Most classes will be one-two day projects, unless the students choose more in depth projects. The drawing classes are one day projects. Supplies not provided.

2008 Pottery Classes
Jan 5, 12, 19, 26; 9-12 am

Handbuilding Pottery from Clay. Raku clay may be used and marked R to be fired at the April Raku firing party 4-8 pm, April 26. The clay is formed and bone dried, fired to bisque, glazed, then glaze fired to require participants to attend at least two days for completion of projects. Beginners to experts are encouraged to attend. Planned projects with the group or independent projects. Come as you are. Everything is provided with no additional firing or glazing fees.

2008 AIE “Wonderful Wednesdays”
Jan. 23-Feb 13, 8:30-11:30am


Home School Students. Mixed mediums/projects. Pottery, painting, drawing, etc projects. All supplies will be provided as well as a morning snack. Director, Nina Louton with Johnce Parrish, Lynda Postlewate and others as needed will provide small group instruction. A snack will be provided.
$100 for members of Fine Arts Center, $120 for nonmembers.

April 22-25; 1-4 and 5-8 pm. April 26 4-8 pm Raku Firing Party

Wheel thrown and Handbuilding Pottery from Clay. The clay is formed and bone dried, fired to bisque, glazed, then glaze fired to require participants to attend two days for completion of projects. 2008 Summer Art Camp
June 16-20 and 23-27

Supplies alone would exceed the cost for this ten day camp. Students will be using provided professional artists' materials in pottery, glazing, drawing, oil, watercolor, pastels, acrylic painting etc. as time provides. Director, Nina Louton with Johnce Parrish and others as needed will provide small group instruction. Snacks will be provided. Exhibit Reception June 28 at The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs.

$175 for members of Fine Arts Center, $200 for nonmembers.

Johnce Parrish and Nina Louton have degrees and are members of Arkansas Arts Council's Artist Roster and Arts in Education roster. A portion of income supports The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs children's programs and scholarships.
