Dates/Location: October 3, 2008 at The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs (FAC), 610-A Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71902.
Awards: 1st prize $300 cash, and the winning artists will be honored as Featured Artist with spot for several pieces of their works in The Fine Arts Center in July 2009.
2nd Prize $200, 3rd Prize $100.
Eligibility: All artists, all media of original artwork. 2-D and 3-D works accepted. Size restrictions: 2-D works not larger than 26" x 38" framed. 3-D artworks may not exceed 30 pounds weight. Artworks may not have been previously shown in Featured Artist Contest. Artworks must be properly wired to hang or stand (no sawtooth hangers). Artwork must be for sale with a 25% commission donated to FAC. Selection committee reserves the right to refuse submissions that do not meet our family oriented criteria.
Fees: $15 for FAC members, $20 for non-members.
Format: (A) Photos, slides, computer prints (keep in mind that this likeness will represent your work in the initial judging) delivered or mailed to FAC, P.O. Box 6263, Hot Springs, AR 71902. Artworks must be numbered and labeled with titles to match list on entry form, (B) the completed entry form, and (C) a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) for return of photo, refusal or acceptance, (D) (artist photo and bio encouraged for promotion).
Deadline for entry: Must be received, with clear signature, by Friday, September 6, 4:00pm at FAC (Maureen Ganster), P.O. Box 6263, Hot Springs, AR 71902. Entries received after September 6 will not be considered. Finalists will be notified by September 13, 2008
Delivery of art: 610-A Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR or to P.O. Box 6263, Hot Springs, AR 71902 if mailed by August 29--30 (Mailed works must have return sticker--will be mailed back if works sell to allow shipping refund). Hand deliveries: September 26-30, 10am-4pm. All art must have identifying label attached.
Pick up: By October 28, 10--4pm, at FAC. Artwork not picked up or arrangements made for late pick up will be gratefully accepted as a donation to the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs. Tax deduction receipt available upon request.
