Paint Your Pets in Watercolor
with Cynthia Schanink



9am to 11am
August 5th - September 9th.

Fees are $120 for members and $150 for non members. Working with a photograph you will paint several portraits of your pet. Then you may choose to display your finished art work in our themed show titled Critters, for the month of October.

Painting since 1974 in transparent watercolor, Cynthia is registered with the Arkansas Arts on Tour roster to teach watercolor workshops at Arkansas arts centers. She taught watercolor at Envision U camp for children at the Rockefeller Center on Mt. Petti Jean. She attended Arkansas Tech University and mentored under several national watercolor artists. She won several art awards in Arkansas and exhibits at several galleries.


 

Basics of acrylic painting with Kendall Maycumber

Learn the basics of acrylic painting using still life set ups and photographs.

Tuition is $150 or $120 for members of FAC

Kendall studied at the Kansas City Art Institute "The oldest art institute in the United States", and received a BFA in Design. He was awarded a Scholastic Art Award for Kansas University in 1976. He owned a gallery in Kansas City called the Belini, which was named after a movie theater he renovated. He worked for Hallmark Cards for 26 years. Kendall has been painting since he was 10 years old.
